NORFOLK, Va., November 28, 2025 – XKIG, a national leader in critical infrastructure services for the power and gas utility sectors, announced today the acquisition of Timberline Clearing, LLC, a company that provides right-of-way cutting and clearing for the natural gas, electrical distribution, and railroad industries nationwide. Timberline will operate across all XKIG subsidiaries.

Founded in 2007, Timberline offers a comprehensive suite of services that include mechanical and manual right-of-way clearing, mowing, herbicide applications, and land restoration. Timberline is also recognized for its specialized expertise in heavy equipment land clearing and rail corridor services — capabilities that expand XKIG’s operational depth to support complex utility and transportation projects.

“Timberline’s experienced workforce and commitment to operational excellence will strengthen our operational depth,” said Randolph Hoover, Chief Executive Officer of XKIG. “The company’s proven expertise, customer relationships, and safety culture align perfectly with our values and mission. Their specialized capabilities in heavy equipment land clearing and rail services expand what we can offer to utility and infrastructure partners nationwide.”

“We’re excited to join the XKIG family,” said Shawn VanDriessche, President of Timberline. “Our teams share a common commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This combination gives us the resources and scale to grow while continuing to deliver the same trusted service our clients have relied on for years.”
